There’s no WME Without ‘Me’: Introducing Content Writer Chris
After chatting with Internal Copywriter Trish last week, we’ve decided to delve into some of the work that goes into maintaining our many content-related projects by throwing the mic over to Chris.
Another one of our talented senior writers, Chris handles the content written for our overseas clients (and is famous in the office for his amazing collection of op shop-chic shirts). Without any further ado, let us introduce you…
Name: Christopher Best
Role: Overseas Copywriter
Tell us a little bit about yourself…
I was born in Melbourne and by and large I’ve spent my entire life here, and people are starting to tell me it shows. I’ve got a sister who’s an artist and where she went into pictures, I went into words. I’ve never been much for writing poetry or short stories, but I love to read and write articles and opinion pieces – it’s part of the reason I like getting the chance to blog here.
When was the first time you heard about ~the internet~?
When I was five I found out there are computer games other than Asteroids on the net and it blew my mind.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
I’ve learned a surprising amount about what life in Singapore and Hong Kong is like, and it’s really made me want to visit both someday.
Running, cooking, playing with my dogs.
I once rode a horse in Mongolia! It was pretty cool.
