A little about myself…
I recently migrated to Melbourne from Adelaide, and I am still impressed with the abundant and always-delicious food options. I love science fiction, particularly the works of Philip K. Dick, and I have the mental focus to play a twelve-hour board game but can’t be bothered walking five minutes to the shops. I believe tea is the greatest beverage in existence.
When was the first time you heard about the internet?
I first learned about the internet after going to my dad’s government office, and very soon after that I discovered a mysterious program called LimeWire. I tried to download a Weird Al Yankovic song and instead filled the entire government network with viruses (I had to write an apology to the IT guy).
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Learning about industries I didn’t know existed so that I’ll always have something to talk about with strangers at bars.
I love board gaming (and never have enough time to play them), experimenting with cooking then eating the resulting food product (it’s usually edible), and watching weird/trashy films.
I own over 80 board games, and not one copy of Risk or Monopoly. It’s for the best.
