Hailing from England’s bright-and-buzzing capital, Abi is one of the newer additions to our talented team of SEO specialists. With her finely-honed approach to the intricate world of search engine optimisation, Abi has quickly proven herself an invaluable member to WME. (Also, she has an accent to die for).

Find out what our resident Londoner gets up to outside our office doors…

Role: SEO Marketing Specialist

A little about myself: I moved to Melbourne four months ago after spending some time travelling. I was supposed to be starting a role in London in September, but booked a flight here from Indonesia two weeks before I was supposed to be going back to the UK!

My first memory of the internet: My brother and I would take half hour slots on the computer to use the instant messenger MSN. I would log on to his account when it was my turn, and when his friends spoke I would be like, “Ah sorry, Alex isn’t here now, it’s Abi, he must have left it logged in,” so that I got to talk to cool older boys…who wouldn’t reply…

Most rewarding part of my Job: It’s really interesting to have a hands-on technical role, as well as having the knowledge of how SEO is implemented and seeing the outcome that follows. I like that SEO is constantly changing – the tech team members are always keen to share their knowledge, so I get to learn something new every day.

Hobbies: Running, the gym, reading, hiking, yoga, drinking gin and forcing friends into eating vegan cuisine with me.

Interesting fact: I did an 18,000 ft sky dive in Franz Josef whilst in New Zealand above the Fox Glacier. I was super cocky about it leading up to it because I thought it was going to be cancelled due to the weather, then when I was in the plane I was just crying and refusing to jump. The guy just had to throw me out in the end – it was hell but also the best. The video really is tragic.
