Role: Social Media Strategist

A little about myself…

Born and bred in a little ol’ city called Adelaide, I moved to Melbourne with four years of social and digital skills to take on a new role, and experience city living. I am always seen with a cup of coffee in one hand, and my phone in the other.

When was the first time you heard about the internet?

I was around six-ish when my Dad told me about the Internet. I would always try and get up early to sneak on to the computer to play online flash games before school and on weekends. It was tough considering the sound of the modem would wake up the whole household.

Oh, and having dial up with only 100mb of data per month. Let’s just say there were a few internet bills that came in that were over $300…

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Being able to constantly learn and work at the same time! For those who don’t understand social media, it is an ever-changing industry so it is a necessity to stay on the ball about the latest trends and developments across all social media platforms. We’ve been able to do training sessions and listen in on podcasts while we work. Another great aspect is that I am growing skills within different departments.

Hobbies:

Playing games, stalking dogs, and long walks to the fridge.

Interesting fact:

I’ve eaten 3 pizzas and a garlic bread in one sitting.
