There’s No WME Without ‘Me’: Introducing Digital Project Manager Netna
For this week’s cultural segment, we are introducing you to Netna! As a key member of our Design and Development team, find out what she brings to WME (besides a drawer full of treats).
Name: Netna Johnstone
Role: Digital Project Manager
A little about myself:
I’m one of ten kids, Sydney born and bred with parents who were part of the refugee influx from Vietnam to Australia in the 1970’s. I’m known around the office for my work drawer of sweet delights, a strategic move. I use this as a psychological tool to make everyone around me, fat. I am not a good driver, but an efficient one.
When was the first time you heard about the internet?
I was 14 with an unhealthy obsession for Neopets. It’s been a struggle but I’m 18 months clean. I now play World of Warcraft.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The people. My team mates help grease the cog that is web development, and always push to better themselves while still having a laugh (Charlotte). It’s been the first place that I’ve felt you can make a difference and still be valued at the same time.
Lover of PC games, board games, reading, going to the cinema, Shiraz and snacks!
I’m a proud mother of two furry Japanese Spitz dogs. They’re the first pets I’ve ever owned without wanting to eat them.
