Tell us a little about yourself…
I’m a handsome 24-year-old who grew up in Perth and moved to Melbourne at the ripe age of 15. I’ve been known to be a chocolate (or snack) fiend and it’s not unusual for me to polish off an entire packet of Tim Tams in one sitting… for breakfast. I actually started cycling just so I could eat more food. My first love was advertising, which I studied straight out of high school and eventually led to me producing EDMs (not electronic dance music).
When was the first time you heard about ~the internet~?
I’m pretty sure my oldest sister showed me the internet on this massive IBM computer we got when I was about 12 or something. She showed me a game that was like Scrabble on Yahoo where you could chat to people while playing. I used to spend hours chatting to people, telling them I was 20 in the hopes they would be my girlfriend.
In one line, what is the most rewarding part of your job?
Definitely the clients and the super smart people I get to work with and learn from.
Obviously eating. I’m a carb enthusiast so pizza, baked goods and burgers make my life (mostly) complete. Then I ride my bicycle out in the Dandenongs so I can burn it off. Life’s about balance, right?
I did a couple of stints out at the mines in WA. Working in 45+ degree heat while wearing long sleeves and pants is not ideal.
